sketchbooks

I have two kind of sketch books:

visual diarys

For years I have been keeping this kind of sketch book. It is a means of recording what I see. However, accuracy is not of great importance, instead it is about the process of engaging with a place and recording my personal response to it.

project books

In this I jot down ideas for projects, do research notes along with drawings. I also use this to develop ideas and sometimes as a means to record work in progress where I add photos of developmental stages.
